> When pressed for details on how the Syrian intervention passes the “global smell test,” the White House offered up the latest technology: the “common sense test.”

From the Associated Press:

The White House asserted Sunday that a “common-sense test” dictates the Syrian government is responsible for a chemical weapons attack that President Barack Obama says demands a U.S. military response. But Obama’s top aide says the administration lacks “irrefutable, beyond-a-reasonable-doubt evidence” that skeptical Americans, including lawmakers who will start voting on military action this week, are seeking.

And yet there has’t been one shred of evidence of common sense in the WH at all duing 0’s reign. Hoping the 2M bike rally will display No War In Syria signs on their rides because you know the media is going to be covering this event. I’m going to predict that more than 1M Muslims show up though. Probably bused in on orders of the WH

We still have troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the military is planned to be downsized. Given these circumstances, why in the world is Obama pushing to attack Syria? I thought he had promised to end wars, not begin new ones to add to the ones we already have.

I guess it would be too much to hope that some anti-war nuts wake up and realize that Democrats start wars for pure political gains, while Republicans are far more likely to consider whether there are actual justifications for war.
