The obvious solution is simple: bomb both sides.

Even more obvious: let them sort it out themselves.

They will never accept a solution imposed by outsiders, anyway. They will just unite long enough to rid themselves of the interlopers.

The oil speculators at the root of all this are in a big hurry to map out Syria. Whatever it takes, regime chance, invasion, they will not wait.
