Especially since this war is supposed to be to show Iran "we mean business when Obama draws a red line".
Why not just cut to the chase and go after Iran's crossing of the red lines and let Assad see what will happen to him next time.
If Assad launched the chemical weapons attack on Aug 21 (which I have my doubts) it was probably because he had seen how Obama had reacted to Iran and North Korea's crossing of the red lines.
Let me be clear-a US attack on Syria most definitely will involve the participation of Iran - isn’t that the point? Really, what else could it be?
