Happy Rosh Hashanah.
Democratic mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner got into a heated exchange with a Jewish voter during a campaign stop in Brooklyn on Wednesday.
Weiner was seen on video walking out of a Borough Park deli when he stopped, turned around and yelled to the man, Yeah, it takes one to know one, jackass.
The two got into a two-minute long shouting match after the voter called Weiner disgusting and told him to stay out of the public eye.
You dont get to judge me because you have shown no sign that you are superior to me and you are not my God, Weiner told the man.
I am not judging you, the man said. Im telling you what you did is deviant behavior.
Youre calling me deviant, thats not judging me? Weiner said.
Stay out of the public, go home and get a job, the man said.
The confrontation continued as Weiner attacked the man.
By the way, I fought very hard for this community and delivered more than you will ever in your entire life, Weiner shouted.
You never delivered anything, the man replied calmly.
You know nothing. You know nothing. Your ignorance is being shown to the entire world, Weiner snapped back.
After the Weiner camp released the video, Weiner defended himself in a tweet, writing if by melt down you mean stood up to a heckler. Yep. Did that. Thats what Mayors have to do sometimes.
A recent poll found 7 percent of likely voters support Weiner, a former congressman who has been embroiled in numerous sexting scandals, in his bid for mayor.
Weiner is up against City Council Speaker Christine Quinn, former city Comptroller Bill Thompson, City Comptroller John Liu and public advocate Bill de Blasio in the Democratic mayoral primary, which is being held Sept. 10.
Yep, can't argue that.
I keep wondering when people are going to wake up, and demand better candidates.
It does seem like New Yorkers are getting the message- although it took "Carlos Danger" for them to finally get it.
I will bet that he is laundering campaign money as fast as he can. Wonder if anyone will do an audit and see.
Agreed - I was refering to it as used in the Biblical sense of “Judge not lest you be judged”. Which I have always taken to mean tried and condemned. I have heard this repeatedly as an out for all sorts of terrible behavior so the following verses come in handy.
1. We are to judge righteously. Jesus commands in John 7:24, “Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.”
2. We are to judge without hypocrisy. “And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?” (Rom 2:3)
LOL. Meanie weenie tinkle upyoursin.
I know, right? The guy just totally grosses me out! (my age is showing I know) AND he creeps me out. He has a lot of gall even running, just EWWWWWW
Indeed he is! Talk about no shame!!
