Starting a widely unpopular war which will inevitably escalate and will likely involve Russia and China, not to mention all the countries that neighbor Syria, and at best, result in a regime dominated by Al-Qaeda? No problem. Here are the Senators who voted to push America into the latest middle eastern war:

What will happen when Russians start shooting down Americans, who then get beheaded by our Rebel Alqada/Syrian allies?

Maybe I'm reading into articles like this something that isn't there? Netanyahu has clearly stated that Assad is a client of Iran. Later in the article it states: "Yet officials have said action must be taken, with most expecting Washington to respond to the attack."

From other articles, Israel provided military intelligence claiming the chemical attacks were committed by the Assad regime.

We Hoosiers eighty-sixed our New World Order statesman Looger.
Arizona has two of them. They’re too close to CA. So there it is.

Beats Arizona now, doesn’t it?

At least we returned to some sanity.

You all re-elected McCain and voted for the Flake. Two of the difference makers.

Just saying. Personally this is not your fault.

BTW: While Israel pointed the finger at Assad for the gas attack, that doesn’t mean that that is true!

Geller points out that the Jihadist opposition to Assad had already been in possession of Sarin. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3062613/posts

I am a strong supporter of Israel, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they “manufacture” intelligence to their own advantage.

Of course, the bamster is held blameless and completely unaccountable.....Limbaugh theorem in action.

Ron - how is that even possible? If it were not for Obama's initiative, we wouldn't even be discussing military options. He alone is the commander-in-chief (Lord Help Us, Please).

Most Republicans and perhaps even a majority of Democrats are opposed to a meaningless military strike against the sh*tass leader of a sh*tass country of no strategic value to the US. How is this not Obama's doing?

Israel wants the US to provoke Syria into attacking them so that Israel can solve both the Syrian chemical and the Iranian nuclear threat. They know the US is an unreliable ally and they must assure their own survival. Actually not a bad strategy, IMO, given the weakness of the United States political leadership.

Israel does not need an excuse. Israel wants to avoid war at all costs, because throughout the years of trading land for peace, they are now surrounded by enemies that are pointing somewhere between 150 to 200,000 missiles at them, many of which contain chemical and biological warheads. All of their cities are in range, even from Iran. How can anyone possibly imagine they want to start something at this time?

I have no problem with a war in which there is a PURPOSE...an American interest to defend...a pro-American side in a civil war to uphold.

NONE of these exist in Syria. NONE of them.

If there WERE a pro-American side, I really wouldn’t trust the Clown to fight it like a man anyway...but in this case, there is NO purpose to going in...every side in that war hates America.

“How can anyone possibly imagine they want to start something at this time”

Because the majority in Israel have not forgotten the run up to WW2 and the false hope they had that America and isolationist Europe would come to their aid.

Thank God Israel places no trust in the ability of American politicians to accomplish anything..Israel like the rest of the world has learned to use our weaknesses to accomplish their goals.

Well, I agree with that. But...when I took responsibility for Lugar... I wanted that turd gone. I was willing to admit he had to go. We did get rid of him in the primary. We had an inexperienced candidate who was not able to handle dem machinations. Arizona should have resisted McCain. He is dirt of the worst kind.

Don’t blame me for the outrage, blame him and the people who supported his re-election.
