Jon Stewart is back, and the shaggy beard he grew over the summer is gone.
In his return Tuesday, The Daily Show host quickly referenced stories he missed Paula Deen, Anthony Weiners alter ego Carlos Danger and Miley Cyrus much-discussed MTV dance then took up the challenge of trying to make comedy and social commentary out of the Syrian poison gas attack.
Stewart had been off Comedy Central since June 6, directing and producing a movie. John Oliver subbed to strong reviews.
He was welcomed in an extended skit with Oliver and Stephen Colbert, who tried to bring back the old Stewart after Oliver mock-worried that the Middle East has changed him.
Back at his desk, Stewart beckoned the camera close to whisper to his audience: Ive missed you so much. You dont know what its like in the real world. Nobody applauds every stupid [expletive] thing that you do.
Stewart played a tape of President Barack Obama urging military action against Syria because of last months poison gas attack.
America taking military action against a Middle East regime, Stewart said. Its like I never left.
After showing Secretary of State John Kerry refer to signatures of sarin gas in the attack, Stewart launched into a mock commercial for Signature of Sarin perfume.
I came back to a dark, dark place, he said.
He played news network tape of various pundits saying that military action against Syria is necessary because the United States would look weak without doing it.
Oh, right, he said. We have to bomb Syria because were in the seventh grade.
There were no actors pushing projects for Stewarts first guest during his return. He conducted an interview with the head of the United Nations relief effort in Jordan, taking care of refugees from Syria that have now exceeded two million.
When this fiasco spins totally out of control, these Obama youths will be looking for a DRAFT NOTICE in their mailboxes.
The main proponent of reinstating the draft I believe is Charlie Rangel. Even ol’ Charlie says he loves obama but aint down for this war. Time to bring the money home.
Well at least he admits that he is not in the real world.
Happy days are here again.
bttt
I thought this guy’s rock and roll career was over?
This is Rangel's sly way of attempting to stop this war. Rangel knows that politicians are much less likely to start a war when the lives of their own children, and the children of their country-club buddies, are at risk.
The Charlie Rangel of 2012 is a tax cheat and a hustler.
But in 1950 Charlie Rangel was a 20-year-old PFC in the Korean War. He was a genuine hero who saw all the miseries that war can bring.
Today we're hearing from the Charlie Rangel of 1950.
Don’t bet on it, Obama will surrender way before that happens...

Stewart makes $30M a year, probably directly from Soros NGOs. Our Commerce Secretary Pritzker’s family provide the money for his “send a comedian to fillmaking camp”—also to the tune of $30M. Notice how little the word “obama” came out of his filthy mouth.
“Don’t care about the guy, but the obama youth will be looking for guidance.”
He is the main mouthpiece of the left for appealing to white libs; Obama youth don’t watch him (he’s the wrong color). He convinced many ignorant whites to vote for Obama; basically he works for the perpetual Dem campaign to destroy/fundamentally transform the country.
It ended a long time ago.
