I think if she stood against MCCain on this issue, it could really hurt the old bastard and help her. She doesn’t owe that old fart a damn thing.

The GOP-e has to be aware that a vote for intervention in Syria is likely to be a "Ripon" moment, so why are they persisting? Is it just Saudi money? Are a couple of them going full-blown Grover Norquist (or just now admitting to it)? I still maintain that it is going to take only a handful of Republicans - or maybe just the right one - to start the ball rolling; I believe with all my heart that the speed would pick up faster than John McCain can diss a conservative... especially after the crap sandwich the GOP-e put on the menu today.
