Democratic Virginia gubernatorial hopeful Terry McAuliffe recently met with New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg in an effort to get support from the billionaire politician, two sources familiar with the meeting told POLITICO.
The pair met in New York a week-and-a-half ago, according to the sources. Aides to McAuliffe declined comment, and a Bloomberg spokesman did not respond to an email asking about the meeting.

What is with Virginia? I understand this Clinton-puppet is actually ahead in the polls. I predict a massive case of buyers remorse when Governor Mac imposes gun control on a once free State.
Oh well, maybe the sane part of Virginia (all that outside the Beltway) can secede and join us in Tennessee.

Bloomie is tight with the Clintons, and of course McAwful is a Clinton partisan, so makes perfect sense.

Terry McAuliffe: Where corruption and money intersect, you will find this utterly amoral apparatchik of the Party.

I have never heard the terms "honorable" or "trustworthy" applied to McAuliffe, even by Dems. Whenever I hear this weasel speak, my internal "Super-slimey-salesman-warning alarm" goes.
(It's never wrong, btw.)

Oh well, maybe the sane part of Virginia (all that outside the Beltway) can secede and join us in Tennessee. That's a pretty big area - and there are parts (like where I live) that are no where near Tennessee and want no part of it.

Looking for the maximum campaign contribution, I assume. Only Democrats are allowed to accept donations to pay the bills.

“After partnering up with a billionaire San Francisco liberal waging the war on coal, Terry McAuliffe is now cozying up to the billionaire mayor of New York City crusading against our Second Amendment rights,” said Virginia Republican Party Chairman Pat Mullins.
“With just over 60 days remaining before Election Day, McAuliffe is finally giving voters a glimpse of his out of touch anti-gun agenda.”
