Of course the article may or may not be true. Fog of war and all that.

But if Assad DID launch the attack then Obama policy is: Punish Assad.

And if Assad DID NOT launch the attack then Obama policy is: Punish Assad.

This follows from any rational analysis of Obama's Middle East Foreign Policy. It is, in fact, quite coherent given Obama's background - He's a Muslim and, worse, he's a Sunni Muslim.

This policy is easily summarized:

POLICY 1: Support the Muslim Brotherhood and do whatever you can to bring them to power and keep them in power.

POLICY 2: See POLICY 1.
