Remember the insistence/drum beat that there will be “no boots on the ground”? I can’t find the link but I have already seen an Obama plan that would send special forces into Syria to secure chemical weapons! Insane!
So, they will go in to secure Saddam’s... OOPS.. I mean, Assad’’s Chemical Weapons?
Kerry responding to Corker: “No boots on ground with respect to the civil war” but didn’t rule out that we won’t have troops there.

I am absolutely confident that it is easy, not that complicated, to work out language that will satisfy the Congress and the American people that there is no door open here through which someone can march in ways the Congress doesn’t want it to while still protecting the national security interests of the country....
The bottom line is the Pres has no intention and will not and we do not want to put American troops on the ground to fight this or be involved in the fighting of this civil war.
