So far as the question as to what compromise to citizenship being born in a foreign nation should have on the authenticity of “natural-born” would be, this has been heard before, time and again. Consanguinity trumps geography every time. True citizenship is conferred by the allegiance the adult person has come to swear to, by the exclusion of all others.
It is the old conundrum, just because a mother cat may have had kittens in a cold oven, that still doesn’t make them biscuits.
And this extends even further, to the so-called “anchor babies” of parents who are illegal residents of the country, who happen to be born on US soil. They are kittens born in an oven who then claim to be biscuits.

Agree with your post. Born here means nothing as proven by all the liberals born here yet they hate this country and wish her harm. There is no allegiance by birth.
