“A few years ago, it came out that Connecticut administered an IQ test to people who wanted to be police officers. If you scored too high, they wouldn’t take you. True story.”
I believe it. A lot of cop work is instinct and reflexes. If you’re *too* smart, you tend to hesitate and over-think things.
I usually get annoyed with some folks getting all technical in some of these threads, but the preferred holster for SWAT stuff is the Safariland 6384. It’s a Level 3 holster. Meaning it takes 3 distinct actions to remove the pistol from the holster. The trigger is covered when the pistol is seated in the holster. Holster is designed with an AUTO LOCKING device. Soooooooo....what does all the blah blah blah mean??
BULLSH*T....BULLSH*T....BULLSH*T....BULLSH*T.....BULLSH*T
There ain’t no way a 6 year old could discharge the weapon while it was holstered. NOT POSSIBLE. Chances are, guy was “finger fuc*ing” the gun and he ND’d. Blamed it on some unknown kid. And will not be reprimanded for being an idiot and a liar.
are you the same guy who coined the phrase on FR "linky no workee"? LOL - made me laugh
Innocent in both instances, I say!
;-)
Even if it wasn’t my line, I am pleased you liked it.
Who would buy a gun that had no safety?
Supposedly the cop had a light on the front of the glock and that caused the gun not to be fully seated in the holster. Enough of the trigger was exposed to let the kid pull it. You have to wonder about a 6 YO kid who 1) would notice the trigger was exposed and 2) would pull it while it was attached to a cop.

If you have nomex undies you might want to put them on.
However you can dis-engage all three safeties by pulling the trigger. I know that a Glock has three safeties.
