Like I said, one full auto I would love to shoot ;)
At least me firing the 50Cal (full auto, but instructed to try to keep 3 round bursts.. and having 3 interchangeable barrels next to us WITH an ‘oven mitt’).. Was an adrenaline rush experience, but, thank God I never had to mount one in battle.. I was stuck with AR15.. which, me being E13 (artillery advisor) on the battlefield, was no problem.

I only spent 2 months in the Army (medical discharge), so the heaviest weapon I've ever fired is a Browning BAR at a gun range. I've never fired anything belt-fed.
I'd love to try out a .50 M2HB sometime, but it's so pricey!

I've never heard of semi-auto ARs being issued in the Army, although some full-auto rifles had old receivers marked AR-15 in 1989. Never heard of an enlisted pay grade above E-9, either.
