My son was at the Roosevelt Island, NY show this weekend. They closed the third day of the show due to two “Molly” overdose deaths. What is wrong with some kids? Who in their right mind would take something handed to them?
My son is 26 and went with 5 other friends who are straight arrows and like the rave scene & good music.
Yes...I think some comments I read about this suggest that the drug was made haphazardly—and maybe that plus simply overdosing is enough to cause the deaths
NY Daily News quoted the father of victim Jeffrey Russ:
>>“Now there will be no grandchildren, no nieces, no nephews, no wedding,” Russ’ heartbroken father, John Russ, told the Daily News. “Everything you look forward to in life is gone because of one pill.”...The 6-foot-3, 270-pound Russ was taken to Harlem Hospital after Friday’s concert, when he began exhibiting signs of an overdose at 3:10 a.m. He died at 3:21 a.m., cops said.
