Problem is NOLA PD is no longer bust heads white guys from slidell or norco or Mississippi but just Goblins with badges letting Goblins in from the west of Rampart st

I have been down 5-6 times since Katrina and have witnessed far more critters allowed in than used to be back in the day

And I’ve seen the usual wolf pack black on white raids

And even seen black men hit white women... they think nothing of that

One of my best pals just died of big C in Mandeville last month

I defend NOLA as much as anyone here and my wife and I consider it along with Dallas and Miami our fav urban destinations

I do....I simply adore the place and the creoles and Cajuns and uptown preppies and even the weirdos

But they used to know how to deal with the Gargoyles.... the firm hand

Keep the tourist areas safe and money flowing in

But it was called racism of course even if a Morial or Landreiu did it

But it made it safe....no black mugger in 1970 would have beaten down a white woman tourist in the quarter....no way

His own kind would a given him up

We were there in Oct 06 and got in between a hit and the intended victims. I’m not stupid, and went down behind the nearest vehicle, but my brave marine spouse wanted to keep his head up to see if he could do anything to help. He caught a bullet in the top of his skull, but as he was a marine, and tough as nails, the bullet didn’t penetrate and was dug out of his skull in the ER a few hours later. This was at sunset on the corner of Frenchman and Chartres, just off of the French Quarter. The intended victims were both hit and one died. But, in New Orleans the people came streaming out of their homes to render aid immediately. They were wonderful, and I’m still very fond of New Orleans to this day because of that. Yes it’s dangerous, but there are wonderful, joyous people in that city, with music and fabulous food everywhere. You should see it on Halloween.
