Jesse Marcel Jr, who said he handled debris from the 1947 crash of an unidentified flying object near Roswell, New Mexico, has died at the age of 76.
Denice Marcel said her father was found dead at his home in Helena, Montana, on Saturday, less than two months after making his last trip to Roswell. He had been reading a book about UFOs.
Over the past 35 years Marcel appeared on TV shows, documentaries and radio shows, was interviewed for magazine articles and books and travelled the world lecturing about his experiences in Roswell.
His wife, Linda, said: "He was credible. He wasn't lying. He never embellished, only told what he saw."
Marcel's father was an air force intelligence officer and reportedly the first military officer to investigate the wreckage in early July 1947, when Marcel was 10. Marcel said his father brought home some of the debris and woke him up in the middle of the night to look at it, telling him it was something he would never see again.
His father maintained that the debris "was not of this Earth", Linda Marcel said. "They looked through the pieces, tried to make sense of it."
The item that Marcel said fascinated him the most was a small beam with purple-hued hieroglyphics on it, she said.

RIP, sir.
See post 4
That is why obama likes to rest his feet on our desk in the Oval Office. That is how he shows disrespect to the America People.

From Jesse's homepage: retired army flight surgeon with a 40+ year history of serving in the US Navy and US Army.
Rest in Peace, sir!
RIP, FRiend. Thank you for your courage. Prayers for the family.
Glad you found it. There are many stories there, not all of them spelled out unless you were along for the ride, but I visit at least annually to reflect. Good place for a review of priorities. Many of those left us at very young ages. You will obviously recognize some familiar names and some who were on planes or in buildings and died during 9-11. I don’t think you will find anyone who hated America or sought to destroy this country.
Thanks for your ping to post #4. I didn’t know he was a FReeper. He was an honest and credible man. May he rest in peace.
I traded a couple of Freepmails with Jesse. Quix hooked us up.
RIP Jesse Marcel. An interesting man with a story to tell.
I spoke with him during one of his last Radio shows, and he was surprised to learn that NASA knows full well that they have been tracking Alien Star Ships arriving into, and departing from our Solar System on a daily basis with their SOHO Satellite ... I have over 3000 Satellite images showing these UFO’s out near our Sun, and have been on several Radio Shows myself telling the public about them.

Nice to see you again Jim!
Hi Scotsman!
Hang on tight to the Lord...because the sh!t is about to hit the fan.
Hang on tight. Cause here He comes...
What the heck is that?
[my favorite exchange in the entire X-Files, from “The Erlenmeyer Flask”]
MULDER: Roswell?
DEEP THROAT: Roswell was a smoke screen...
From the article:”Marcel graduated from Louisiana State University’s school of medicine in 1961 and joined the US navy in 1962. He retired after nine years but later joined the Montana army national guard and became a flight surgeon in 1981. He was called back to active duty in October 2004 and served as a flight surgeon in Iraq for just over a year. He reached the rank of colonel.”
He must have been a prodigy genius to have graduated from a school of medicine at age 18(and have graduated from high school as well?). I wonder if he joined the Navy at 19 and graduated from med school in 1971?
He would have been 3 or 4 when he handled “the artifacts”(based on the article’s timings).
If Marcel was 76 years old when he died, that means he was born in early 1943. He would have been only 4 years old at the time of the Roswell incident.
I see a lot of inconsistencies in this story but perhaps the article writer was a bit sloppy in his recounting and reporting of events?
Oh never mind....I just saw that the article and posting was from 2013....which puts the birth in 1937.
Sorry for the mistake...
No prob. It’s does my heart good to see old articles are still alive and kicking.;-)
