Sorry Vet, But following these orders wouldn’t violate the constitution, are not being used against American citizens, and refusing to do things we disagree with isn’t reason enough to do do something like this publicly, in uniform. I loathed this kind of behavior when it was done prior to Afghanistan, and Iraq. Who the president is doesn’t change the rules.

When I was walking through the streets of Mogadishu and the former Yuogoslavia, I too was put off by the idiotic decisions made by BJ and his crew, but I wouldn’t have done this to my uniform.

I joined during the latter part of President Carter’s time in office (1977-delayed entry, 1978-active duty) but he’s looking like Truman compared to this guy and Slick.

Strange. I thought the Constitution specifically gave congress, not the president, the sole responsibility for declaring war.

I respect where you are coming from, but when we have a Government operating in open defiance of he US Constitution, it complicates matters.
Is the President actually eligible to be in office? The fact that none of the branches.of Government has held him accountable demonstrates that they disregard the law. We have a DOJ that sends arms to the drug cartel in Mexico, and no one is accountable. We allow hoards to invade this country and we aren't allowed to call those actions illegal. We even allow 'Sanctuary Cities' to exist to harbor these invaders. We have a DOJ that selectively applies the law depending on one's skin color. And we have a Government that is aiding the same gang that has been at war with us since 9/11/2001 (if not earlier). To wit, we've supported the Al Queda factions in Libya, Egypt, and now Syria.

I understand what you are saying, but these are unique times and I agree with these protests. There is a chain of command, but when the top of the chain is a lawless bunch that has demonstrated their utter disregard for the Constitution and the law - things are different.

We need the the big brass Generals to stand up to the CIC and smack him around not the boots.

O.. That is right. The boy King has replaced all of the brass with his lil gay tin plated thumb suckers that “give permission” now and not orders anymore.

No our military is not what it was even pre-Iraq and Stan. Heck we have Marines stocking depots in Georgia for the UN. Queers getting married and accepted in every branch. Now we are going to be the Navy and Air Force for AQ.

Great transformation in the last 5 years... Time for REchange (is that a word)

They’re not indicating a refusal to obey orders. They’re expressing disgust at the policies of those who want to use them to illegally attack Syria.

The oath of enlistment also says they will support and defend the Constitution. “Following orders” can often be a thin line between legal and illegal prosecution of war. Ask those who participated in the My Lai massacre about that one.

All that said, these two should NOT be in uniform for those pics.. but that’s a separate issue.
