Please put me on the list!
We just need to install a subroutine.
Heck we have Marines stocking depots in Georgia for the UN.
What? You have a link or something to back that up?
Does congress need to declare a war? Recall while blamed on Bush, it was Clinton that sign the presumption attack law giving us first strike abilities and the War Power Act widened the view.
Look, the USA belongs fighting in the middle east as much as ice cream should be stored in the cabinet but we have three equal branches of government that missed their government classes on what they were suppose to do.
At this point, the legislative and judicial branches should have outlined their positions yet nothing.
There is no leadership in government, just the worst of us because good people cannot be elected.
Obama stopped only because his poll showed only 8% are interested in this the constant back-peddling from previous positions are noteworthy as Syria has noted they retreated.
Constitutionally, yes. There is no wiggle room. Recall while blamed on Bush, it was Clinton that sign the presumption attack law giving us first strike abilities and the War Power Act widened the view.
Laws do not trump the Constitution. And while Congress has formally allowed the Executive a bit of discretion regarding imminent threats and other emergencies, they retained responsibility by limiting that power temporally.
When the King of England issued a royal decree that was regular in its form, and in line with the way the King usually issues orders and decrees, who were the Americans to dispute what the King has validly ruled? After all, the King’s rights were divinely given to him, and therefore, the King could do no wrong.
This works well with organizations that are authority based and only work well when there are no debates in the lower ranks.
But at some point the Colonists said,”Enough is Enough!”
They no longer obeyed the rules of the King.
What is that point for us, in this century?
Who determines the validity of a law when the public disputes the authority of government, and the courts, the executive, and the legislative branches have all decided to ignore the Constitution?
The answer is that the people are allowed to overrule their government.
But half of the population now thinks that their rights come from government, so dispute is not permitted.
The other have are largely quiescent, and will not fight for, or even acknowledge the risk to their rights.
This leaves a minority of people to reassert the rights of the people to dispute the government.
We must all decide for ourselves when enough is enough. Then we must all decide what we will each do about it.
We will continue to fight unjust wars, for illicit purposes, as long as the duty to obey is the primary rule of importance.
I long for the day when freedom is the rule of primary importance.
Yep, the ribbons would go a long way towards identifying him. All it would take is noting down the ribbons, and doing a quick service-record database search for the set of people with that set of awards. Then look at the service record photos and see which matches the best (paying particular attention to the ear), and/or who has a connection to the guy whose FaceBook account it was posted under.
If he was smart, he's have removed some of his real ribbons, and added some from a friend.
ID by the ribbons was the first thing I thought about too. Hope he remains anonymous.
My hope is a whole bunch of much higher ranking military personel will do the same and refuse an illegal order.
But I’m afraid the congress is going to cover for him. And for McCain and Graham to say they can’t support a limited strike is just plain BS. Every war starts with the first strike. How the hell can anyone trust obama, and his puppet masters, whether it’s going to be limited or not?
And, by the way, obama will use congress as a cover no matter which way they vote. If they vote at all. I wouldn’t put it past Boner and Pelsosi to “deem” it passed.
When Obama says, “Jump” Boehner says “How High, Mr. President?”
Serious question: Did none of King George’s soldiers join the Patriots?
The truth of the matter is nothing going on in Syria is a “domestic” or “foriegn” threat.
Great advice. For the higher ranked military officers who can “get out” anytime they want. Enlisted men are stuck serving an American hating muslim from Kenay until their enlistment is up.
And by the way, when you say those serving for the money pretty well describes the higher ranked who could do something about this guy.
.
Anyone who works for the spying agencies that identifies this man is a traitor and should be treated like a traitor SHOULD be treated by George Washington.
You are added.

WRONG.
Neither was Kosovo. But it was still "bombs away"....Progressives sure loves themselves some war.
