The republicans will roll over for him in one vote.

Ok, folks. Cooler heads have gotten to Obama, but it’s now up to We The People to burn up the telephone lines to our respective members of Congress (both houses, preferably).

Please, please, make these calls. Let Congress know we are opposed to any military action in Syria. Give Obama a way to save face, if you will.

It is up to every US citizen to do his or her duty.

My spouse and I’ve already made the calls, so I will turn it over to my fellow patriots.

0bama telegraphed his intentions without regard to Congress. Now they’re a convenient scapegoat for his mishandling of Syria. He really IS ‘The Amateur’.

It’s to be expected. It saves face, because he’s on record as saying that the POTUS can’t do these things alone, absent a clear national interest. Biden’s comments are even stronger (he says it would be impeachment material).

This way he passes responsibility over to Congress and makes himself look consistent in his principles.

And he knows darn well Congress won’t go for this. He doesn’t want to go in, but unless they help him, he has to do something. Every something is risky.

Benghazi, he couldn’t pass the buck. This time he can.

Wasn’t congress supposed to be too “special” to consult?

Why would they want to listen to people with such a loooooooooooow approval rating now???

Always been his escape plan he passes the buck congress will vote no (which is the only good thing) then he’s off the hook and tells his terrorist buddies he tried but his hands are tied and he also gets to label republicans in 2014/2016 election cycle as hippocrites that didn’t go after real WMDs while people are slaughtered etc... Once again he floats a total false flag op and we are swept out of power by low info voters and bleeding hearts...The End

Wouldn’t it be great to have a President running the country instead of a community organizer?

perfect example of the Limbaugh theorem.

1. If Congress says no, he walks away from those who wanted it.

2. If Congress says yes, he no longer to blame for the consequences - it something goes wrong.

This is the one time I wish the Republicans would vote present. State that they are against bombing Syria, but they don’t want to tie the hands of the president, so they abstain. Let the Democrats give him the authority. Then see what he does.

Only reason he is doing this is to scapegoat Congress later if they give the green light for an attack.

It can never be Obama’s fault, unless it’s an outstanding success (which isn’t likely)

I would like to see someone put together a picture of Joe Biden on one side of him in the Rose Garden and Walter on the other side. They would look the same.

This will help him to save face for not taking that double dog dare against that 11 year old on Facebook.

This way he can blame Congress for not letting him do it.

He should ask for approval. If he doesn’t make a case for striking something that relates to US national security, then he should be denied congressional authorization.
