Love the mass pipers, well, military pipes in general. ANY piper.

(doesn’t that look like a scene from the original Wizard of Oz?)

Bill Milllin, "The Mad Piper of Normandy" would be proud!

One of these days I'll make it to the Tattoo, it looks splenderific!

Thanks Conor...myself being a lass of Scottish descent, the pipes either make me want to weep or rise up and go to war. Love to hear the bands, thanks for the post.

Good stuff, thanks for posting.

I always have visions of that sort of thing wailing away as the French cuirassiers are charging up the hill at Waterloo towards the waiting British infantry in squares, which included the Black Watch.

Sorry to hear that - here's an example from YouTube:

The Edinburgh Military Tattoo (on opening/press night), Aug 1 2013

There's plenty more where that came from.

Thanks. Though I despise parades and I especially despise the cesspool of wretch filth that is NYC... one year, I went in to the city with some friends for St. Patrick’s Day. The only real reason being to see and hear the awesome spectacle of all the pipe and drum bands.
