I see it differentlty. David Cameron wanted to go to war and was humiliated. Obama will be humiliated in the same way hopefully.

Obama will not be humiliated. He will have it both ways. If Congress approves, he is vindicated and he will be praised for going to Congress. If he loses, he can take the moral high ground and say he supports humanitarian principles but will defer to the will of Congress and the American people.

The question that should be asked, is if this is so important and urgent, why not call back Congress immediately and get a vote? He is waiting until at least September 9th.
