After eight largely Chappelle-free years, you’d think comedy fans would be eager to hear what the guy had to say in his new standup routine. By EW’s own account, spectators in Austin certainly were: When Dave Chappelle first took the stage at Funny or Die’s Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival, those present gave the comic a standing ovation before he even began his set.
Alas, that was Texas —and this is Connecticut. Last night in Hartford, a noisy, unruly crowd prompted Chappelle to pause his set, ultimately walking off stage to a chorus of boos.
He could take some lessons from the master...
I didn’t hear anything that a seasoned comedian should have had any trouble handling. Problem is chapel lie has a messiah complex

Don Rickles knew how to handle hecklers. And he was actually unlike the current crop of alleged comedians. Same with Sam Kinison. He always had hecklers on drugs. Rodney Dangerfield’s hecklers might be mafia so he had to be careful with them but he knew how to deal w them

Yeah, some very funny stuff. Since we thought it funny, are we racists? Was Chappelle a racist for participating in the skit? How about the whites involved? The network that aired it? The person/s who wrote it? YouTube for making it available? For those that missed it the skit starts at 1:30.
