If you enter into an ad program, the program decides what is popped to any visitor. Google is typical, and the biggest, program.
So when I visit Breitbart, I get drowned in stuff that is pure propaganda for the Norwegian labour party and their friends, and they track. Breitbart has no influence whatsoever on what his ads/advertizers do.
The only one I’ve seen who can really do much about his own ads is Drudge, and that is because he has volume enough to run single ads outside the mainstream. And he got there by cheating: every ten minutes or so the page refreshes, and each refresh counts as a new hit, counting up money.
And if you say F.U., the advertiser goes elsewhere.
And if boycott campaigns are waged against advertisers who support FR, then the advertisers go elsewhere.
