I do wish someone in the GOP would remind him that its not up to him to decide when the US will take military action. However, nearly every president in our lifetime has already created a well-worn path to that unconstitutional option.

An NBC poll has 80% saying he should get Congressional approval, so the point has been made and understood.

I think the best thing for the GOP to do at this point is follow the rule that you don't get in the way of your opponent imploding.
