This causes me to question the entire credibility of this article. Sarin is a gas. It is usually packed into small sphere that when ruptured, allows the liguid sarin to release gas. It is not stored as a gas as far as I know.

This sounds plausible to me.

1. Rebels conduct gas attack.
2. Assad’s military leaders are surprised when they are blamed.
3. Top ranking military leader calls soldier who oversees gas weaponry.
4. Yells to him on the phone and asking for explanation.
5. Call is intercepted.
6. OUr side chooses to interpret this as confirmation of Assad ordering.

This explanation is more in line with the post’s contention that rebels rec’d the gas thru the Saudi’s.
