“Then in the late ‘80s, the term African-American joined black as a preferred term”.

Courtesy of liberal Jesse Jackson, who went on every news show and talk show week after week telling everybody that “african-american” was the new word for black people. I can remember that ugly bastard on those shows like it was yesterday. I refuse to use the Jesse Jackson coined term. I say black and white. If someone does not like it, to hell with them. I don’t call myself a European American and will not a black person an American American.

Agreed. The House has the Black Caucus, the "CP" in NAACP hasn't changed, and I still see ads for the United Negro College fund.

Somebody let me know when they make up their minds.
