Did I hear today that Egypt is threatening to close the Suez Canal if there is any military action on Syria?
Maybe that is reason for the build up of naval forces.

The Russians have something like a dozen ships in the area with missile cruisers on the way. I think there is a lot of chest puffing going on separate from a planned direct attack on Syria.
