I grew up in the hoagie belt

Hoagies .. youbetcha !

I was around here the first time for junior high, before we got transferred again.

My scout troop in Lewisburg sold enough custom hoagies - made by the parents, sold and delivered by us - to buy all new tents one year.

'Course they were green, and canvas, but omg they were like the Hilton to us back then !

Loyalsock Twp. here - we had our hoagie sales as well. I can still smell the onions and vinegar/oil! There was a place in Montoursville - Cellini’s - that made the best hoagie back then. There are probably still sub shops on every corner in Williamsport. As it should be!

Wiki "Submarine Sandwich"

Check the "other names" under "cosmo". Hah - all the Catholics would eat Cheese Cosmos on Friday night when they got sick of eating fish. Love it!
