(Jackson, MS) The Mississippi Supreme Court has ruled a Hinds County Circuit Court judge erred when he granted a motion delaying House Bill 2 from taking effect.
That is the open carry law in Mississippi.
The judge ruled the bill was unconstitutionally vague.
The Supreme Court decided that decision was incorrect.
House Bill 2 would allow people without a permit to carry firearms as long as they are within sight. Concealed weapons still require a permit.
If that were me, she would have had a case against me by the end of the conversation.
I think the more grey I get in my beard, the less tolerant of stupid useless people I become. Maybe the cause and effect is backwards though... the more stupid people that society expects me to tolerate, the more grey I get.
Woo Hoo! Probably won’t do a lot of open carry but will be nice to not have to worry about being so concealed it can be awkward to reach... Now to find out when it goes into effect - one would assume immediately, but ...
I may just have to open carry an AR on my back in protest of the black robed tyrant that tried to kill the Constitution. Why is it WLOX TV only had blacks speaking out against Freedom and Liberty? Why is that? Blacks can open carry too... that is the percentage of their population that has not lost their rights via criminal convictions. Same goes for whites or purple people... or even green people with pink polka dots.
Your assumption is correct.
Yep - I went out to a local news source and it verified that it takes effect immediately. Gonna be fun watching to see how many folks take advantage. I'll probably hold off until LEOs settle their nerves.
Awesome news bump!
Yeah........MS is THAT good! ;o)
