British MPs have voted against possible military action against Syria to deter the use of chemical weapons.
David Cameron said it was clear the British Parliament does not want action and "I will act accordingly".
The government motion was defeated 285 to 272, a majority of 13 votes.

Damn. I wanted to see the government fall.
I guess this might be a stupid question, but when a vote fails like this, does that mean the government has to resign or elections are called?
Even the French attack poodles have returned to their kennel.
“It might be too late for him to back down now without losing face.”
This media darling dumbass could stumble us right in to WW3.
Putin is slinging his schlong in the Media Messiah’s face right now.
Payback for snubbing the entire British nation as soon as he took office in 2009.
This might be the year little arrogant Obie gets his comeupance.
Well, lets not give Obama ALL the blame.
Bonehead could recall congress to vote. One way or another.
After all, the GOP controls the house.
Where is Waldo Bonehead? In a bar or tanning salon?
"The well of public opinion was well and truly poisoned by the Iraq episode and we need to understand the public skepticism," Cameron said.
Blame it on Bush!
Its great for the British Parliament to show the way to our Illustrious Fearless Nobel Peace Prize Winner; the question still remains, will he activate his Al-Qaida Air Force or not?
Boner is probably on the Golf Course with Obummer..
Bonehead needs to be replaced by a Ted Cruz-type in the House. Surely there is one?
It's hardly my U.S. Air Force anymore, as our 'Resident has decimated it and feminized it with his social "experimentation".
It is quite common for governments to lose votes, but it doesn’t mean the government is to fall, normally if they fail to get parts of their election manifesto through parliament it can result in the government falling, but no always so.
Make no mistake, this is a huge embarrassment that will be remembered for a very long time over here.
Was this not a government motion?
Why was it not (also) a confidence vote?
It makes no sense to pick sides in this conflict.
I could, however, be talked into military action that levels ALL of Syria (or, even better, the entire Muslim world).
Asking for a declaration war and getting told no by Parliament? I don't think that's happened since James II.
Me too!
These two pro-sodomy clowns are the worst duo in modern history.
Compare them to two BRILLIANT leaders:
Back in the 1980s, American and Britain had two strong and moral leaders.
Today, it is the exact opposite.
The Brits take it seriously enough to have a vote, yet our congress
don’t take time out of their busy recess to even have a vote?
Throw the bums out! Especially Bonehead.
” Bonehead needs to be replaced by a Ted Cruz-type in the House. Surely there is one?”
Not in sight.
"I win again. I always win."
