DALLAS – The Perot Foundation of Dallas Texas today announced a $1 million gift to Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas to support the nonprofit’s essential health care and education services for low-income and uninsured Texans. More than 95% of Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas’ services are basic, preventive health care, including lifesaving breast and cervical cancer screenings, birth control, and testing and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases.

“For nearly 100 years Planned Parenthood has helped to educate men and women regarding family planning and general family health,” said Margot Perot. “Our family has supported this nonprofit for many years because we are impressed with the work they do—providing birth control; scientifically based education; breast health exams; and basic, life-saving healthcare for women who cannot afford services otherwise. The Perot Foundation announces a gift of $1 million to Planned Parenthood to directly support this vital mission of providing preventive health care to Texas women. We also recognize the need to further inform the public of the mission of this great organization and the need to support it at this critical time.”

I thought Perot was somewhat conservative, but now his foundation is supporting baby genocide? Guess I won't be visiting his museum.

The heirs to daddy’s fortune do what they will. I don’t recall Ross Perot being sympathetic to PP, neither then nor since. Margo is something else, obviously.

I am horse-laughing all you folks who split the Conservative vote and gave us the Jackass Supreme, Bill Clinton, and then stood up and crowed how good Perot would be for us.

Ross Perot was pro-abortion and anti-gun.

Perot is pro-abortion, along with his early approval of gays in the military, and his statement that he would kick in doors to confiscate guns.

Ross Perot and his family have been at the forefront of the Dallas pro-abortion movement for decades with expensive work on behalf of the abortion industry.

Ross Perot on Abortion;
Pro-choice activist
Perot has not only taken a pro-abortion stand, his is the first presidential candidate ever to have conceived close personal and institutional ties to the abortion industry. The Perots are activists with an interest in the most radical fringe of the pro-abortion movement.
He funded an entire gynecological wing of the Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, which has provided first and second trimester abortions as well as amniocentesis research. He has also been a vocal supporter of Planned Parenthood.

Margot and Katherine Perot, 2005 Award Recipients:
Ms. Perot is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Dallas, board member of the Dallas Museum of Art and former Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Hockaday School. She is also a former elementary school teacher.
She has been a supporter of Planned Parenthood of North Texas for more than 20 years.
Margot and Katherine Perot are being recognized for their work Chairing Planned Parenthood North Texas’s first annual fund drive, Secure Our Mission, which raised more than $95,000.

Perot is gone and his foundation, like so many before, has fallen into the hands of brainwashed feely touchy libs who run it.

Perot was a brilliant man and took a niche not grabbed by IBM and made a multi-million dollar company of it. He did this by seeking the best people to do every job, brought them on board and got out of their way, a great trait for presidents.

When two of his executives were thrown into an Iranian prison after the shah was taken down, he mounted a rescue of them by again seeking the best men for the job and letting them operate. So, while Carter let the hostages languish in Iran, Perot rescued his men. A book was written about it by Ken Follett--On Wings of Eagles. Follett says he stayed true to the story. It is an exciting read.

I voted for Perot, knowing he couldn't win, but also knowing he needed to get enough votes to wake up some people. I live in AL and knew Bush would carry AL, anyway. I also perceived Bush would lose because the media had hung him out to dry for "Read my lips".

This gets long, but I still remember the jokes told about the 3 contenders.

Ross Perot--had a watch for sale that ran a little and stopped--ran a little and stopped.

Bill Clinton had a watch for sale that was only 7.99, plus tax, plus tax plus tax.

George Bush had a watch for sale with no hands. It said "Read my lips.P

Perot himself sneaked into Iran to help free the hostages, knowing that he would be an even bigger prize than his employees if the Iranians captured him. How many people would do that? I met one of the men on Perot’s rescue team - his name was Keane Taylor, a former marine; that guy had amazing stories to tell, stuff that wasn’t in the book. He sadly passed away last year.

What I remember about Perot was that like libertarianism, his supporters saw themselves in him, regardless of their politics, political opposites would both be Perot backers.

It was bizarre.

Lucky you. I would love to talk to someone like that.

The team was made up of ex military, some of whom worked for Perot, already.

Perot was very resourceful and a true entrepreneur, so unlike Clinton and Obama. Even Obama's jobs were all talking, no doing. He and Clinton both hate the military--how great is that for a CIC?.

Which is all beside the point. Perot was always a supporter of the biggest abortion provider in the nation, and the million his foundation is giving can be use without restriction. That means it pays for the abortion clinics that are threatened by the loss of state funding. Texas elites are very much into the prime mission of Planned Parenthood, which is to reduce the number of poor people though birth control. They are now pushing for same-sex marriage, which like birth control of the masses is very much an upper-class project.
