Cruz and Paul are close allies, and if they do not remain that, we have no hope. Our caucus is already small. If we kick out everyone who we do not agree with 100%, we will lose. Paul had an alternative immigration plan to show there is an alternative. It is politically wise. We do need reforms in a number of areas of immigration. I personally do not think this is the time because of Obama and Harry Reid holding too much of the power, but at some point we have to deal with a horribly outdated system and a porous border.

There is nothing wise, or smart, politically about Amnesty and that is what Rand Paul's "Comprehensive Immigration Reform" plan was all about. Forgiving the Illegality, the misdemeanors, and the felonies committed by a class of criminals and legalizing them.

Rand Paul could be perfect on all other issues, and yet, with this one issue, because of it's complete and utter destructive outcome on this constitutional Democratic Republic, he is a Traitor as is anyone who would give Amnesty and Citizenship ultimately to 30 million+ Undocumented Democrats.

By so doing, there would no longer be a chance for governance by Republicans, and much less Conservatives, and John McCain, Rand Paul, Lindsey Graham, Marco Rubio and every other Amnesty Queen all know this.

And in refusing to face that reality, they have put their own well-being, their own careers, their moneyed-supporters ahead of the welfare of this country and the American People they are supposed to be representing and leading.

That is the definition of a Traitor.

We don’t need immigration “reform” meaning “amnesty”. We just need the border closed and existing laws enforced.

But only us people want it, the elites have their own agendas, all of which are destructive. Paul is just following the libertarian (or shall I say “Liberaltarian”) agenda on this. Let ‘em all come in, willy nilly!.

Outdated system? Nope, an un-enforced system. Due to weak sisters on the R side and traitorous bastards on the left.

. . . but at some point we have to deal with a horribly outdated system and a porous border.

I'd start with a quick path to citizenship for every high school valedictorian coupled with a quick path to deportation for every drug mule.

It makes a catchy slogan. Most of the American people would support it. And Maldef, MeCha, La Raza and every other Brown KKK affiliate would fight it tooth and nail.
