Noticed that the press is finally picking up that some sources say that some WMD could be in hands of ‘rebels’. They pushed pretty hard on some points we have been making here. WH shot down ‘anonymous sources’.
I have been on a one woman twitter campaign for days telling them to look at what Panetta said on 9/28/12...lol. He is certainly not anonymous. So today I tried again and tweeted this to several WH presstitutes:

A report by the Office of the Director for National Intelligence outlining that evidence against Syria is thick with caveats. It builds a case that Assad’s forces are most likely responsible while outlining gaps in the U.S. intelligence picture. Relevant congressional committees were to be briefed on that evidence by teleconference call on Thursday, U.S. officials and congressional aides said.

Observations:
1) Obama’s strike coalition is falling apart
2) Deals are being made behind closed doors
3) Obama and WH Josh Earnest are both saying today/yesterday that even if Obama has to act alone, he will act as he sees fit IF it serves US national security interests (whose definition is already being dumbed down)
4) YET...Chuck Hagel said today?: “I have said it on a number of occasions-—If any action would be taken against Syria, it would be in international collaboration.”

CNN crawler is saying, “Report showing Assad’s govt used chem agents will be declassified before any action is taken, Obama adm says.”

May be premature to be so cynical, but the US will give the classified report to some legislators, the declassified report to the rest...and perhaps the public.
Is the report going to review Assad’s PAST chem sins? Will the report rely on the phone-call intercepts as reported by the “FORMER” Mossad agent? BTW: His info hasn’t been debunked, but the nature of the dialogue intercepted has been debunked (in no way pointing to a smoking gun of Assad’s guilt). IIRC, the nature of the call was something to the effect: “What the hell just happened.”
I remain deeply suspicious that the US has Assad’s smoking gun.
