As the war drums for Syria get louder, let this thread serve as a repository for news, background, Tweets, photos, video, on-the-ground reports, etc., as was done recently with Egypt.
From the news headlines, Im guessing he is too busy trying to find out just exactly why the man is called “MAGIC” tonight....while his boy toy Reggie shuffles the deck.
LOL you got that right about legacy
For the record.
53 Members join @RepBarbaraLee letter to POTUS & 140 join Rigell’s letter calling for congressional debate on #Syria http://1.usa.gov/1fmeFu5

They need el Sisi to meet their demands promptly.

I hardly think Omama is up to granting congressional debate on this matter....
Rumor some pilots already called in so he’s up to his “something” already it would appear...
Of course at the same time the MBS “demand” no fly zone from the International Community...they are all for bombing Assad....
I hear the MBS are plenty peeved off because, in backdoor dealings, ‘Saudi favored “other” groups’ over the MBS for any transitional Government... in Syria.....so they then wrote this demand in retaliation for that and assumed the ‘Benevolent Authority’ over the Syrian people.
I can name that tune in one note!
Don’t feel too bad, mulder...you have company for the US is right behind the Brit’s in that respect.
Smoking gun is exact opposite according some intelligence leaks.

The fact is the MBS got majorly peeved with Saudi for not picking them in any transitional government in Syria...
So as is their usual behavior..they incite International attention by cutting lose chemical weapons to kill a few hundred so they can watch them be paraded to the International Community...which is what happened...
Then suddenly all the nations are now playing the MBS typical agenda game...”Do Something”...”look they’re dying all around us!
These guys are B*stards....I watched them daily in Egypt do the same thing...provoking, killing people, and then pointing to the military as the culprit....
Their game is the same in Syria now...
Agree!
Thank you so much for your input on all of these threads!
" This isnt a jihad solely about Assads oppression...we are not just fighting against tyranny; Bashar Assad is only part of our fight.... The other groups are only a reaction to the regime, whereas we are fighting for a vision,..... We want the future that Islam commands. Not a country with borders but an umma [worldwide Islamic community of believers] of all the Muslim people. All Muslims should be united,
His goal is the same as the Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamists:.... A Caliphate.... And hes not just talking about bringing together Muslims; hes talking about punishing Muslims that, in his opinion, arent devout enough:
He further stated:
There is a difference between the basic kuffar [infidels] and those who converted from Islam.... If the latter, we must punish them.... Alawites are included.... Even Sunnis who want democracy are kuffar as are all Shia..... Its not about who is loyal and who isnt to the regime;... "its about their religion"...... Sharia says there can be no punishment of the innocent and there must be punishment of the bad; thats what we follow.
Assad moves all ‘rebel’ prisoners to likely sites of US bombing
I wonder if he will thank the Obama Administration for leaking so many details ahead of strike too. /snark
The one thing I don’t get on this but it is the Middle East after all, is this.
Assad is friends with Hezbollah, Hamas, they are his allies.
Muslim Brotherhood is the granddaddy of the radical organizations and I thought basically started Hezbollah, Hamas (which ever is the radical organization, I’m not up on that, perhaps both).
So MB would be fighting Assad in Syria but MB also started distantly in the past, the Palestinian Organizations.
