The US Navy has deployed a fifth destroyer to the eastern Mediterranean, a defense official told AFP on Thursday, as expectations grow of an imminent strike on Syria.

The USS Stout, a guided missile destroyer, is “in the Mediterranean, heading and moving east” to relieve the Mahan, said the official, who said both ships might remain in place for the time being.

Other destroyers in the region — the Ramage, the Barry and the Gravely — criss-cross the Mediterranean and could launch their Tomahawk missiles toward Syria if so directed by US President Barack Obama.

Turkey finds sarin gas in homes of suspected Syrian Islamists – reports

Published time: May 30, 2013

Turkish security forces found a 2kg cylinder with sarin gas after searching the homes of Syrian militants from the Al-Qaeda linked Al-Nusra Front who were previously detained, Turkish media reports. The gas was reportedly going to be used in a bomb.

The sarin gas was found in the homes of suspected Syrian Islamists detained in the southern provinces of Adana and Mersia following a search by Turkish police on Wednesday, reports say. The gas was allegedly going to be used to carry out an attack in the southern Turkish city of Adana.

On Monday, Turkish special anti-terror forces arrested 12 suspected members of the Al-Nusra Front, the Al-Qaeda affiliated group which has been dubbed “the most aggressive and successful arm” of the Syrian rebels. The group was designated a terrorist organization by the United States in December.

Police also reportedly found a cache of weapons, documents and digital data which will be reviewed by police.

McCain actually looked and acted crazed during that interview. His eyes were frantic, he was unglued.

Also this. I have seen this article several times in last few days, but...

“she added that more investigation was needed.”

I have not seen an article on the final report.

May 6, 2013

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/may/6/syrian-rebels-used-sarin-nerve-gas-not-assads-regi/

Testimony from victims strongly suggests it was the rebels, not the Syrian government, that used Sarin nerve gas during a recent incident in the revolution-wracked nation, a senior U.N. diplomat said Monday.

Carla del Ponte, a member of the U.N. Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Syria, told Swiss TV there were “strong, concrete suspicions but not yet incontrovertible proof,” that rebels seeking to oust Syrian strongman Bashar al-Assad had used the nerve agent.

But she said her panel had not yet seen any evidence of Syrian government forces using chemical weapons, according to the BBC, but she added that more investigation was needed.

Interesting Navy Vet.....yes am aware of the Med. Fleet, which is there pretty much all the time...I think Egypt is considering all avenues of how they might assist Syria....closing the Suez was one of them being considered....the flow of oil would be affected....and army’s don’t move without it.

My understanding to is that Egypt has some sort of agreement with Syria to assist them ....haven’t looked into it though. But their ideas are based on that.

Actually I don’t think there will be much of a response from the US and British....the alignment of their fleets is speaking a language of it’s own to Syria...from both sides.

But it will say nothing to the MB Jihadists who want to see the International Community do the job they have thus far lost. They will continue to use chemical weapons to incite a response from International Leaders.... That is what they want.

There have been three attacks thus far...each one enabling the MBS to flaunt the dead and injured....their trademark to get International Attention....their eyes are set on seeing Assad fall...

Interesting is how Obama stated he wants to see a Transitional Government “representing ALL the various groups”....exactly what he said in Egypt and with his support Morsi/Mbs got in...and began moving the Islamic Agenda in Egypt.

The same idea is planned for Syria.....but Assad is not going to let go...he, like SISI and the Egyptian people, is a nationalist..to him it’s all about the nation not falling into the hands of the Extremists....and certainly not to the Bo/Globalist agenda. He will fight to the end and for however long it takes...and no matter how many deaths will occur....

Eventually though..the International Community will step in...the Globalists learned from Egypt that they have to in order to continue with their agenda.

We know the end of this and what will come eventually. How it transpires remains to be seen. ...and when...

May very well be that IF they attack Damascus we’ll be watching Russia and the Muslim nations converge on Israel....they have stated they will do so...and should be taken seriously in what they are saying.

However...Should Assad step down...then it’s simply a delay....Russia and the Muslim nations will still eventually go after Israel.....if happens some have said Russia will lose at least 80% of it’s military....

I’ve often wondered how people could turn and fight their own people...but clearly this is a common practice in the middle east countries...now that we see how they operate.

Was reading an interesting article how the Kurds are in heavy battle with the Jihadists in the North of Syria.....even the woman are fighting and in many cases winning....the woman state the Jihadists there are not organized and so the Kurds can knock them off relatively easy....also that the Jihadists have a serious problem with the fact they are fighting women! LOL.

All the factions fighting in Syria it’s a wonder those fighting ever have a clue who is standing next to them ! Might be it’s every man for himself much of the time....
