Along with our eating habits, we’ve really tried to get back to basics with our body care as well. I discovered good ol’ Kirk’s Castile is very nice on my dry, sensitive skin. As a bonus, it doesn’t leave as much residue/scum in our showers and tubs.

For several years, every couple months, we used to receive a large official looking mailing from California warning us that we were not to sell leaded crystal in California. Included were warning signs that we were supposed to post at any crystal display, at any register, and at the store entrance. We're still waiting for the shoot-out when a California inspector shows up to check on our compliance.

California can have my 24% lead, variety specific, mouth blown crystal wine glasses when they pry them from my cellar temperature hands.
