We thought we made progress from the “primitive”, “cruel and unusual” forms of punishment dished out throughout all of human history up until the 1960’s.
Since then it's all been about the criminal's rights, not the victim's or society's. We've gone overboard in a gingerly handling of thugs that can't be “reformed”. Who ever said all thugs can indeed be reformed? Many cannot so why waste the money and detention facilities on them?
In this particular case, they must go to meet their Maker because a society that mildly punishes murderers of this type, does itself, not have long to live.

FReepers, my understanding is that a pastor who preaches against sodomy will be arrested and jailed if it can be established that his preaching motivated someone to commit violence against a Sodomite. Shouldn’t we be able to use the same standard with the ‘hip-hop rappers’ who promote violence and murder of white people?
While these two are poster children for capital punishment, it might be better put these “boys” into an adult max security prison to spend a few years being sodomized and beaten.
