I am inclined to think that Obama himself is not the real power, and somewhere, some really big money sees some advantage in all this. It does drive up oil prices, but I’m not sure that’s it.
As to the rest, I tend to “buy” Rush’s theory that Obama’s people all think like him anyway, so they tell him what he wants to hear because they think it too, regardless of unpleasant facts. I’m just not so sure “Administration” people themselves are the real power brokers.
There are times zero reminds me of a kid who puffs himself up to look tough and then says, “I’m tough! Aren’t I, mommy?”
