this is what LePage do (according to the 13 Amigos):

The LePage Administration:
Not to be outdone by the legislators, this Administration’s support for Common Core Education Standards, the Internet Sales Tax, the atypical meddling in the business of the Maine State Committee, as well as the vetoes of the Drone and Cell Phone bills left many of us incredulous.

However, the straw that broke the camel’s back for many of us was the veto of LD 1282 (the “Raw Milk Bill”) and those who voted to sustain it: a sad day indeed for the small farmers of Maine. We want our God-given rights to buy, sell and consume what we want protected by the law – not restricted by FDA or USDA directives.

D’Amboise lives in CD#2 (he primaries Olympia) Maybe he will be the 3rd party spoiler.
I met Poliquin when I was campaigning for Newt ... Bruce was everywhere.

http://www.brucepoliquin.net/bio-bruce-poliquin/

he doesn’t come across as being particularly conservative but he sounds better the more I read about him.

“After high school, I jumped at the chance to attend Harvard University and ... In addition to my financial aid, I cleaned bathrooms and bused dining hall tables to make ends meet. During summers, I dug sewer lines and painted metal roofs to help pay for my education.

I battled on the lacrosse field and immersed myself studying economics. I learned how America’s free market capitalist system creates the most prosperity, security, and liberty for those willing to work hard, take risks, and play by the rules.

After college, I pursued a career in the investment management industry in Chicago and New York.”

You (and those like you) are EXACTLY what the Republicans want for their ranks. They EXPECT that from you and know you will follow them no matter what.

You are no more than one fish is a school of Republican fish that swim in the same direction as the school of fish no matter what and with no inclination as to why.

These Republicans in Maine have finally awakened to the fact that the need for a real conservative movement is our only hope for the future for the Republican party is far, far beyond redemption or repair.

“Die hard” Republicans don’t even have a clue that you may have to lose some battles to win a war but if you don’t try you will lose ALL battles and never have a chance to win a war.

You can stay in the party along with the rest of the Republican lemmings but truly intelligent people fully realize that the party is just that...A PARTY. It’s a party of RINO lifers who are there only to enrich themselves with money and power and only represent their own personal interests....not the interests of those they were to protect and represent. Those days have been over many, many years in the past.

Many years ago I used to be a staunch Republican but over a long period of watching the party actually snatch a defeat from the jaws of victory, I dropped them like a hot rock.

I now vote for the man or woman (but not an “it”) for I believe ANY politician who does not vote the will of the people or in any fashion against our rights as granted by the Constitution is a TRAITOR to both our country and the people who they represent.

Go ahead with your pipe dream of finding some miracle that will change the direction of the Republican party. I can save you a lot of grief and time by telling you “IT CAN’T BE FIXED.....PERIOD!

The key is not to abandon Republican values. It’s to abandon to the idea of “Compromise”.

COMPROMISE is what Republicans eat for breakfast. It is their motto and credo.

Compromise means that you are weak and at least want some of the pie but those mean old Democrats and liberals keep giving you a “wedgie” and snatch almost all of the pie and leave you only the crumbs.

Let’s see an example of the Republican math on this issue:

We have a score of 1 to 10. The Democrats give the Republicans 3 and the Republicans give the Democrats 7. This is compromise and the Republicans will feel good to have at least 3 and flaunt the fact that they fought “tooth and nail) and came away with what they considered a victory.

This is how we now find ourselves in the situation of losing our country, our values, our freedoms and our basic way of life.....COMPROMISE!

True leaders like General Patton DID NOT COMPROMISE! Battles (whether political or actual) are never won by compromising.
