I wonder if this is going to push recognition of the Lumbee tribe. The Lumbee do not want special recognition, I suspect because they do not want to go on to a FedGov mandated reservation. In this case I refer to reservation as having to accept conditions for taking government money. The Lumbee are doing quite well without government help.

Calm your fears. There won't be any relocation of Indian tribes to reservations. The Lumbees have long had strong political savvy, and they won't leave their homeland. Since a number of Lumbees walked into a Ku Klux Klan rally in the 1950s wielding shotguns and pitchforks and caused considerable spontaneous urination in the trousers of the rallying Kluxers, the Lumbees have shown they will stand their ground.

Besides, only a few Freepers would really want the government to try to take the homelands of the Lumbees and other tribes. (You can find their designations on this thread.)
