Davutoglu and Fabius called the chemical attack a "crime against humanity", stressing the need for an urgent inspection on the attack by the UN officials, who are still in Damascus

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu held a phone conversation on Friday with the French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius regarding a recent claim of use of chemical weapons in Syria.

Turkish diplomatic sources told the Anadolu Agency that the two top diplomats discussed mainly Wednesday's chemical weapons attack on the suburbs of the Syrian capital of Damascus that killed at least 1,300 civilians.

Both stressed that the attack was a "crime against humanity", pointing out the need for an urgent inspection by the United Nations officials, who are still in Damascus, to reveal the truth behind the incident.

Davutoglu and Fabius agreed that the attack reveals the gravity of the Syria crisis, noting that the international community can no more remain indifferent in the face of the recent violence.

The two top diplomats also urged "immediate effective steps" to be taken to put an end to the bloodshed in the Syrian civil war and for the completion of the transition period in Syria.

Davutoglu and Fabius also exchanged views and information on the international talks they have held recently both on Syria and Egypt.

Please note there are other countries around the world, very capable of handling this.

No more American wars for the time being.

None. Bring back American JOBS now.

America has a Job—Working to keep Obama and his minions in POWER forever! If troops must be sent in harms way to make Obama look good—that is what they are paid for. I fear Obama’s arrogance may well propell us into a major war. BUT think of the good things! Rationing! The Draft! Jobs in the Police/gestapo forces! Jobs at the Re-education camps! Jobs at the IRS! and NSA! Who needs pesky elections! The MSM will elect out people for us.

Please note that there are no US troops in Syria, and that there won’t be any for the foreseeable. The civil war began in March 2001, when Assad had his troops shoot at, round up, arrest, beat, and torture unarmed protestors.

Since that time there have been a LOT of (non-binding) calls for a no-fly zone, which would accomplish very little on the ground, as it is primarily a ground war, with the Syrian (crap) air force limited to dropping bombs to knock down stubborn buildings filled with stubborn defenders.

The second half of year three will be ugly as hell, and still no US troops will be going, and there will be no no-fly zone.

Whoops, 2011, not 2001, binary error.

Well I need to say first, I am not a veteran.

That said, I do (not) support currently getting involved in Syria.

That just doesn’t strike me as real intelligent.

However I do not have access to any details which McCain / Obama may have.

Just saying, from my perspective, I wouldn’t.
