There’s a subcultural problem here that screams for a real national conversation. Almost no one on the Left wants to have it.
We constantly hear from the Corporate Media, academia and government about gangs and gang violence as if there are these maundering outsiders invading the peace and tranquility of the inner city, i.e. black neighborhoods.
This is BS, of course, to obfuscate the fact that these so-called gangs and gangstas are the vanguard of modern black culture, idolized and emulated, lauded and praised in music and song. These black gangs aren't really gangs in any "organized crime" sort of way. They are just a loose association of people that grew up in the same street or neighborhood.
