Neither. Many of the unemployed are able to exist only because of government money. Their outrage at being unemployed is tempered by the fact that the receive benefits. If the money runs out, they may finely get angry enough to take a stand and demand the government change its policies so that businesses can start and they can find jobs once again.
Look at Europe. They have had an unemployment rate averaging 10% for about 40+ years. But these people continue to live on the dole because government payments.
I am not mocking those who are unemployed. There are some who like to live on unemployment, but many that don’t. What is needed is an event that will piss off enough of them that the status quo will be changed.
My husband has been on unemployment many years ago and so have I. We didn't get any benefits other then some unemployment checks. Thing sure have changed since that pos came to power
