I don’t care what he is or what he does in his private life. When you throw out information of military where it is available for even enemies of war to find it, then yes, you are committing treason. I am sorry, but I don’t discriminate. Any traitor, including one who wants a sex change like Bradley Manning, is still a traitor, because you put soldiers’ lives at risk. How much more of this garbage are we going to have to take?
I know, I sometimes wonder why Treason isn’t the capital crime that it used to be. Especially considering that leaked information to the enemy can and has gotten Americans killed. What’s worse, in the era of nuclear weapons, you could potentially get millions of men, women, and children living at home and going about their business in America killed with a nuclear attack, especially given that without all the civil defense drills we used to have, many millions would likely get killed in the pre-nuclear panic that would ensue at the siren and the EMP blackout preceding the holocaust. I am not saying this risk isn’t true for every traitor, but it certainly is possible that if the right information about U.S. National Defense got leaked to Russia and/or China.
Or he’s just trying to use his desire to get the sex change as an excuse for lesser punishment for treason.
