the Detroit zoo is not in Detroit, I think its in Royal Oak. Outside of the city limits....it use to be one of the best zoo's in the country....back in the 50’s. Belle Isle had its own small zoo, aquarium,and arboretum. Many rooms, each depict a different envoirment...one room had a small waterfall and was full of orchids, another just desert plants, etc.

Giant greenhouse “bio-domes” with different environments would rock as a zoo. Especially if there was a walk beneath “ocean” aquarium.

The Zoo in Royal Oak...must have been the one I visted as a kid.

Id have remembered the “stuff” you mentioned as having been in Belle Isle.
