To: Mercat

I tried the French pressed, and not being much of a coffee drinker I thought it tasted pretty much the same, but I had never seen coffee made that way.

By the way, I used to use artificial sweetener, but found a flavorful real sweetener that is worth a few calories: sorghum syrup.

It is somewhat like molasses, but less sweet. With a little butter it has a butterscotch taste. It’s a whole lot less expensive than maple syrup. Good in coffee.

Sorgum doesn’t have the strong sulpher flavor that molasses has. Try making oatmeal cookies with that instead of molasses — with or without raisins, you’ll love them; YUMMY!

We have to order it online because no stores carry it around here.
