What the hell is “false narrative”? Is that an elitist word for a lie? Sounds like what I used to see come out of the back of cows when I worked on a diary as a youngster.
A "lie" is a single falsehood. A "false narrative" is a bunch of falsehoods strung together.

Well, we only had the one milch cow (Jersey, but she was "alpha cow"), but beef cattle emit the same stuff.
A “false narrative” is larger in scope than a lie. A lie is usually about a particular instance like Hillary is doing with Benghazi. A false narrative, however, is grander in scale and persistent. In this case the false narrative is the fairy tale that white Americans are irredemptively racist and minorities are oppressed and this dynamic affects all racial interactions.
