Teats!
Compelling final paragraph. But you’re being kind when you say ‘we’ when in fact it is ‘they’ — those that compromise when correction demands the courage they’re unwilling to muster.
But that’s the rub...
Over the last several days I have had a couple generally respected (by many here) freepers make the argument that My arguments are either binary/that I see everything in binary, and am confusing compromise with capitulation.
My position is that These are binary issues, and seen acted and pushed as binary issues ny our opposition, thus kind must be meant in kind or compromise in fact equates to capitulation.
Where am I going with this? Anyone outside looking in would see everyone in the debate as ‘we’ when in fact we are wholly polarized.
Do they have good points? IMO yes. However points individually fail when confronted by the whole. And that whole is that on that and this issue both, “WE” is pretty subjective since so few of us agree or are willing to actually defend what we claim to believe in verbally, much less in a more determinative manner.
Sothing like a Friday night philosophical debate to make me haZ a happy ;)
