I talk to a guy named Tom Gaylord who is a big deal in the Air Gun industry, and he told me about the comp. was coming up. I then saw the ad on the website. I submitted the on line application & photos of me shooting on my home range. I was then selected. The producers of the show contacted me to let me know. They paid for a round trip to Ft. Smith,Ark for a week [including a real nice hotel]. I got to know the producer/s pretty well & they told me that they wanted a good group of personalities for “shooting” for the show.
I am normally a loud person, & when we started on the first day, I was told that they wanted me to be over the top on my personalty, so that is what they got. The sound guy actually would pull his headphones off when I was speaking, and they would go with an area mic at a distance for my interviews. But all in all I loved it. I got to hold & shoot air guns that I only got to see in photos. Some of the targets were over 200 yards out, & easily hit with a couple of the air rifles.
You did great, very well produced show.
