Reading this L.A. Times puff piece, it seems that the L A Times thinks that that Jesus, drugs, guns, and Facebook are the real culprits here.

Can’t remember who said it first but it is quite apt ‘blaming the gun for Chris Lane’s murder is like blaming the rope for Emmitt Till’s lynching’.
